Busy But Not Impossible

I am a 29 year old accountant working full time 9‑5:30 who trains for Ironman triathlons and also competes in inline skate marathons. As you can imagine I am quite fit, but that means I train 2‑3 hours a day on top of work and recovery time. The question is how to get a better social life and deeper into game when the schedule is already full. Even with limited hours, social growth is possible if you treat it like a side project and not a hobby.

Inner Game First

I actually get this kind of email often from guys who want an active social calendar but can’t squeeze it into their current routine. Many of them are stuck needing to be more social without having time to actually live it. The good news is you can start developing your personality and inner game in other areas of your life without changing your schedule right away. Use a few months to sharpen basic conversation and craft yourself into who you want to be before you overload your calendar.

Time Is The Real Issue

When it comes to readers like this one, the only real solution is to look at the schedule honestly and decide how important the game lifestyle really is. Our reader already works 8.5 hours, trains 3 hours, and needs about 9 hours of sleep, which is 20.5 hours of the day already spoken for. The rest is usually commute and wind‑down time, so there is almost no room left for going out. To build a better social circle, you have to go out more, but you also have to be smart about it.

Strategic Socializing

Rather than killing yourself by going out Friday and Saturday, it is easier to use slower days like a Saturday to hit bookstores, coffee shops, and similar places and go indirect with the women there. If he wants the biggest improvement, he will need to drop some athletic commitments, maybe skip this triathlon, and use that time to socialize or take up a less extreme hobby with women easier to flirt with. Until he treats game like a job, he won’t see the results he wants.
